Committees
Want to get more involved in the Harvard-Radcliffe Chinese Student Association? Whether you're interested in throwing window-shattering parties like Rush Hour or serving 12-course meals to 500 students for Banquet, whether you're interested in collaborating with other student organization on campus and off-campus or exploring issues that face the Chinese-American demographic, CSA is the organization for you. Become an integral member of our CSA Family by joining a committee and working closely with CSA Board to throw our numerous events. This is a perfect opportunity to see what's going on behind the scenes without the formal commitment of being on the executive board. To find out more about committees, please contact a member of the executive board.
The current standing committees are:
Social
The social committee is responsible for the business of party throwing. You will learn how to find loopholes, serve refreshments, and avoid cops, all while accentuating your popularity and presence in the Harvard community. Have you ever wondered how to set up a sound system? Have you ever wondered why CSA parties attract the hottest girls? Joining the social committee is the only way to find out.
Outreach
The Outreach Committee acts as a liaison with HRCSA alumni, other student organizations on campus, and student organizations outside of Harvard. We work to establish friendly, mutually beneficial relationships with these individuals or groups to further pursue HRCSA's goals. We da best.
Ed/Pol
It would be great if we had 4-5 people to help us throw our events this year (which include a video game tournament, discussion panels, workshops, and movie screenings)! You get the chance to be the direct line of contact for very important people who come to CSA to perform or speak (Yo Yo Ma anyone?)
Publicity
The Public Relations committee is in charge of the CSA brand and all its interactions with the general community. Duties of the public relations committee include publicizing events, finding merchandising opportunities, managing the social media faces of the organization, and generally doing anything that helps promotes the clubs image to the public.
Cultural
The CSA Cultural Committee is responsible for fun, exciting events that showcase the diversity of Chinese culture. These events include art shows, movie screenings, food gatherings, and the annual Chinese New Year Banquet. The committee is especially proud of its study breaks that provide an assortment of Chinese dishes. Regarding any other events, the committee is always looking to work with the rest of CSA board and the Harvard community to reach out to an even greater group of students!
