Our Story

Who We Are

Founded in 1969, the Harvard-Radcliffe Chinese Students Association (CSA) is one of the largest cultural organizations on campus. The Harvard-Radcliffe Chinese Students Association is composed of an Executive Board elected by the general members at the end of each calendar year. The Board members serve one-year terms, and they are responsible for hosting and organizing all CSA events. We also have a general membership of over 1,000 Harvard College students.

Where We've Been

Having existed for over 50 years, CSA has played a major role in shaping the Chinese/Chinese American community over the past several decades. Our annual Chinese New Year Banquet, for example, is one of the longest-running traditions at Harvard (left: publicity flyer for first-ever Banquet). From educational discussions to bone marrow drives, Wong Fu Productions to Andrew Yang, NBC to SFFA, we’ve seen it all, and we’re devoted to both honoring our legacy and forging a dynamic Chinese/Chinese American identity.

What We Do

As a home to Harvard's Chinese and Chinese-American community, CSA serves as a forum for social, cultural, and educational/political interaction among students of all backgrounds. CSA hosts nearly 80 events each year, including general meetings, guest speakers on politics and culture, holiday festivals, dim sum runs to Chinatown, parties, and more.
